Competing the competitors

-->
Here is the project I did for the grade seven in my school. Although I am a mathematics and physics teacher but I studied electrical engineering at Lebanese International University and that gave me the opportunity to build the electrical instrument presented below. This instrument is used as a material to teach students the difference between the atom and the ion where both of them were represented to move as the real atom moves.

Below are the pictures to show the project I did at different stages at home. This project was introduced in a competition in Dar Alssadaka School in Forzol in the science projects done by the director of the science fair project whose name is Radwan Shouaib.

This project is presented by the seventh graders by the supervision of two chemistry teachers concerning the contents and my supervision as a technician and the way of presentation in front of the judgers using different languages during the presentation and here are the pictures while presentating in front of the league of judgers.

This project was given to our administration as honor for their financial and valuable support and due to their motivation to us, as novice teachers and students, to produce our creativity and to compete expert teachers who always used to win the competitions done in such science projects.

All what I need...!!

Never thought of hurting you
Never thought of being far from you
To be always with you
To feel my heart within you
I need to feel the “I love you”

 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

To be alive my soul needs you
I do not breathe oxygen unless being with you
Be beside and I will keep warming you
I need to feel the “I love you”

 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

From the meeting time with you
I had never stop thinking of you
The most valuable to me is you
I need to feel the “I love you”

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Never was shocked because of you
I used to predict what happened with you
Do not hesitate what really had you
Just let me feel the “I love you”

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

God makes the meeting close with you
He always makes it clearly but for you
Still is vague to me but the advisor will be you
I need to feel the “I love you”

Never Give Up!

When we were in school, our teachers used to tell us that it is not a big problem if you failed in the exam, but the problem is not to succeed after failure. And now as teachers we say it to our students because what really matters is the effort students do to succeed. My teachers were right. Nothing can be earned easily and we usually learn better from our mistakes.

Not only in educational journey, but also in life because life is considered the largest school in which we learn, act, fail, try again and succeed. The ultimate goal in people's life is considered success whether in education, work, love or daily life.

Success is not achieved easily, it needs a lot of work and tries and to reach success we must keep 3 words in our minds "NEVER GIVE UP", these 3 words have to be our energy that motivates us for better. Try once, twice and trice and even more when needed. Search for success because it does not come to you.

Einstein for example was low achiever in school but he made a change! Not succeeding in a field does not mean you are (failure); just give it a try and another try, maybe you will be brilliant in another field of work.

http://rishikajain.com/2012/02/03/never-give-up/

Never give on Success...
Never give up on Happiness...
Never give up on your Dreams...
Never give up on people you Love...
Never give up on Life...
Simply, because You worth them all.

Screaming Out Loud

Is it enough…?! Is it fair…?!
I was asking myself, till when... till when the stress will continue...till when the busy life will go ahead…till when?!
Studying in the field of education, for a teaching diploma, from 2:00pm till 5:00pm after a full-busy day teaching in two schools for the intermediate cycle requires a lot of work from 5:00 pm till after midnight…till 3:00 to 4:00 am and then sleeping till 6:00 pm to start a new fruitful day. This brings a lot of stress to our bodies and tears down our social interactions without any additional financial rewards.
So to continue surviving this stressful life, governments and schools should be more aware to take such daily happening cases into consideration with hundreds of Lebanese educators and graduates.
Sleeping for approximately six hours maybe enough for the human body to relax and productively withstand with the new days it may survive.
Also sleeping is a necessity and essential for our brains to relax and settle the information gained and thought of during the day without even a single moment stoppage during the stressful day.
According to me it is unfair to work, teach and learn for such amount of hours with these low salaries and high university payment with the demolishment of the social interaction and the lack of relaxation and sleeping hours.

My Scientific Poster

Designing a Scientific poster is not that easy work, it needs time, organizing data and good content. Usually such posters are used as a tool to make others know about a research or a project done, and are represented in a simple and interactive way.

Down is my scientific poster done in the course "Integrating Technology into Education" on a study I did in fall semester 2011-2012 concerning the correlation between the parents' educational and socioeconomic level and the pupils' achievement in schools.

In my poster you will see that the today's correlation is not proportional as it was in the past. From the time politics and scholarships started to interfere effectively in schools and universities till now I can see the difference in the rate of correlation between the parent's socioeconomic and educational level and the pupil's educational attainment. As shown in the poster, the study revealed that parents' levels are not affecting any more their descendants' achievement, neither boys nor girls, but the society and the peers are the factors which are modeling and modifying the behaviors of the children toward success and education.

Never hacked until death

Nowadays the most popular internet interests is hacking other’s privacy not only to see what is private, hidden and not allowed to see but also for the sake of getting proud. Some hackers do that to prove to their inside they are doing a great job and showing others that they are better than them and can do whatever they want.
http://www.cartoonstock.com/directory/h/hacking_cough.asp
So here I will show you the way new hackers are using in stealing your privacy when hacking your MSN so that you can take the suitable decisions on what you have to do to be far from such illegal behavior.
At first hackers go the hotmail website then type your email in its suitable place in the sign in box and then write your name in the password box. Second they try the sign in button and if lucky they will be signed in and changing the password as they like it to be is the final stage before using your-ours email.
But the climax is reached when they are unlucky to sign in with the trial password. So the next step after many failed trials will be the final stage to get the password. This stage includes the hacker who will face you by his/her gun to give him/her the password or you will be killed and sure you will give it correctly when you are arrested and tied before the laptop until he/she makes sure that you gave him/her the right password.

Can information be stolen?!

Plagiarism is the process to steal someone’s information and ideas. This can be done by taking the information as it is presented on the online sites, from the books and other knowledge and information resources even by writing what others said orally in front of our auditory ears.
Plagiarism is the most dangerous action done by people and it is more severe than stealing the materialistic things. This plagiarism is appearing to increase in schools and universities as the result of unawareness of school teachers to teach their students the ways to avoid such behavior, the severe consequences resulting from plagiarism and the reason behind preventing students from the copy-paste process.
So as teachers we have to start the new journey, a new beginning, in the way to teach the students the effective and correct way to use both; the offline and online resources. This way we can make our students reach the university with a lot of experience in doing correct and effective researches and surveys as well as creating their own online blogs and social media with personal and creative posts and writings.
I found it essential to post about plagiarism since I am one of the people who was affected negatively and poorly graded due to plagiarism without even noticing the severe consequences before that experience. This behavior by me was done due to the lack of information I have on this kind of stealing and for sure it is the fault of my school teachers who did not inform me about this topic as should be.

Borned Again....!!

Under that tree we sat,
 And there we had
Our best conversation between us.
Her eyes talked to my eyes,
Then our lips drew a smile.
Some moments are just unforgettable,
Some people are too.
It was cold but near her I felt warm.
Near her is a new world, new feelings and new life.
Fast heart beats, as the ones I am feeling now,
As if I am living that moment again.
Stole a glance from her eyes,
And noticed, her secret look at me.
Wish to live that moment again,
Wish her to be near me now.
I am just wondering why happy moments end quickly?
Why my life didn't stop near her?
Why I can't feel her love and warmth whenever I need them?
Lots of ideas in mind and heart holding lots of feelings…
If it all comes to me now, I want to go back in time
And steel that moments again.
Sit near her, listen to her whispers
And fall in love again and again.

Self Realization

Idealism is originated from the term "Ideal" and that means idealists are inviting people toward perfection and goodness. This maybe cannot be applied at the moment though Socrates and Plato talked about long years ago.
But the most idealistic topic I agreed on is Self Realization as one of the aims of education which is essential nowadays and teachers have to work immediately on it to build human beings and not robotic learners.
So teachers should be well informed and have to know personal qualities necessary to guide students along the path toward infinite.
Teachers should be as Idealists;they should emphasize on mental and spiritual qualities of human beings that lead to concentration on concepts of individuals and their place in education.
Similarly as:
  • Butler found that self is the prime reality of individual experience and the ultimate reality can be conceived as a self (oneself, community or universal self), therefore education become primary concerned with self-realization.
  • Descartes placed thinking self as base of his schema "I think therefore I am".
  • Plato emphasized on the individual role in the society.
  • Augustine talked about the connection of infinite human to infinite God.
  • Hegel said that "one must relate oneself to the totality of existence in order to gain true understanding to oneself".
  • Horne and idealists agreed that, education should encourage the "will of perfection" for students and in an activity whereby one shapes oneself into the likeness of God.
  • Gentile focused on the idea that all human are connected to God (Religious education).
  • Maslow believed that human nature consists of basic needs (physical, safety, emotions, truth, justice, beauty etc…) and healthy individual seeks to move up the ladder of needs to achieve their full potential represented by knowledge and education which is Self Actualization

We, as teachers, must not imitate the western thoughts that teachers have to focus in teaching the curriculum and contents as dealing with machines but we have to apply the Chinese thoughts about interaction between the teacher and the learners to guide them into the righteous behaviors before educating them the curricula concepts.

Good...Better...Best Curriculum

Lebanese curriculum is out of date. It is not a manner of expiry date but it is a manner of teaching old and meaningless facts relatively to the days and the improvement we reached. We are in the twentieths centuries and still teaching the students that the sun arises from the east and that earth is an elliptical shape…so come on curricular designers.

http://plpnetwork.com/get-involved/ecourses/21st-century-ize-your-curriculum-ecourse/
I think the Lebanese curriculum should be modified to follow the updates in the sciences, Math, geography, history, etc. Also it should be modified to teach the concepts and main ideas rather than teaching facts and details which limit the learners thinking.
This curriculum should be changed to teach for understanding, analysis, problem-solving application, evaluation and creation and not only memorization and writing what teachers need to read or what teachers ordered us to say. So a new curriculum should be designed according to bloom’s taxonomy and Gardner’s multiple intelligences considerations.
This new curriculum should be modified to increase learners’ motivation and encouragement, to enhance their critical thinking and to evoke their curiosity to seek for new knowledge. Besides it should include a lot and long training periods for teachers to be able to get rid of the memorization dress and wear the new dress which grasps learners’ attention and hooks them in the educational field.

Tricky formulas

“Engineers” can prove:

Mathematics

X = X

X2 = X2

X2 – X2 = X2 – X2

X(X – X) = (X –X)(X + X)

X = X + X

X = 2X

1 = 2

Physics

Thanks Physics to make us know that both parents are equally

And they exert the same force

                                                            Force: F                             Mass: M

                                                            Acceleration: A                 Pressure: P

                                                                                Area: A

F = PA              &             F= MA

F = F

PA = MA

PAPA = MAMA

Seeking Fun.....?!

Jigsaw Puzzle

A blonde calls her husband on his cellphone.
Blonde: "I've got a problem!"
Husband: "Tell me."
Blonde: "I've just bought a puzzle, but I can't solve it!"
Husband: "Is it that difficult?"
Blonde: "Yes, I don't know where to start; all pieces look similar!"
Husband: "What's the image on the cover of the box?"
Blonde: "A red cock, but I really can't solve it."
Husband: "Wait a minute, I'll be right there and we will solve it together!"
A few minutes later the husband walks in.
Husband: "And where is this puzzle of yours?"
Blonde: "It's right her on the table..."
Deep silence falls, and then a sigh...
Husband: "Okay, we will do the following: you'll put all cornflakes back into the box and I'll forget the complete incident."

Tricky Riddles

  • Mice can multiply very fast. Adult mice can give birth once every month, and baby mice grow into adult mice in just two months after they are born. If you would buy a baby mouse just after it was born, how many mice would you have in 10 months?
  • What can you put in a barrel which makes it lighter?
  • Where can you find August before July?
  • What is greater than god?
          What is more evil than the devil?
          The poor has it,
          The rich need it,
          If you eat it you will die.
          What is it?
  • Why did the chicken cross the road?
  •  What has 4 wheels and flies?
  •   What gets bigger the more you take away?
  •  What gets wet the more you dry?
